Pathways to Housing

Our participants move into their homes with very little. They receive basic furniture from our Furniture Bank and bring the clothing and personal items they’ve been able to carry from place to place as they sleep unsheltered (sometimes for decades). We provide necessitates but often don’t have the resources to provide a full move in kit for each participant. Donations of the following (brand new) items would allow every participant to have what they need to feel truly at home in their new apartment.

  • Alarm clocks
  • All-purpose cleaner
  • Bath towels and washcloths
  • Bathroom rug
  • Bed pillows
  • Bleach
  • Brooms and dust pans
  • Can openers
  • Coffee makers
  • Comforters or blankets
  • Cooking utensils
  • Dinnerware sets
  • Drinking glasses and coffee mugs
  • Drying racks for dishes
  • Flatware sets
  • Food storage containers
  • Gift cards to Target, Walmart, etc.
  • Full sheet sets
  • Kitchen and bathroom trash cans
  • Kitchen towels
  • Laundry detergent
  • Non-slip shower mat
  • Plungers and toilet brushes
  • Pot and pan sets
  • Shower curtains and hooks
  • Swiffer mop & supplies

We accept donation drop offs between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday at our office: 5201 Old York Road, 4th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19141

If you’d like to organize a collection drive, Sign up Genius is a great software program that helps to coordinate and organize drives to put together move-in kits. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to pick up donations.
