Basic Information

The Austin Shelter for Women and Children (ASWC) is a low-barrier, housing-focused emergency shelter serving women and dependent children experiencing homelessness. Operated by The Salvation Army in partnership with the City of Austin, ASWC provides case management, rapid rehousing services, employment assistance, a computer learning lab, childcare, and child/family therapy on-site. The facility was renovated in 2018 to increase capacity and enhance services.
