Basic Information

Family Promise of Albuquerque is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness for families with children in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho communities.

Their mission is to empower families at risk of homelessness or experiencing homelessness to achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.

The organization operates a shelter program that provides families with a safe place to stay and three meals a day. While volunteers provide meals and other essential needs, Family Promise of Albuquerque staff offer life skills and employability skills classes, intensive case management, and resource referrals.

The shelter program is supported by over 700 volunteers from 21 different faith communities in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho area.

In addition to shelter services, Family Promise of Albuquerque offers prevention and stabilization services to increase their impact. They have consistently seen more than 94% of families in their shelter program secure and maintain housing due to their intensive case management and community support.

Family Promise of Albuquerque is located at 808 Edith Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102
