La Puente Home, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Alamosa, Colorado, dedicated to providing a safety net of services for individuals and families in the San Luis Valley.

Their mission is to meet immediate needs and empower people to live independently with dignity.

• Emergency Shelter: Offering a 45-bed facility with case management, housing navigation support, employment readiness assistance, and three meals a day.
• Food Bank Network: Distributing nutritious food to combat food insecurity, serving over 7,800 individuals in 2022.
• Crisis Prevention Resources: Providing assistance to prevent homelessness, including rent, utility, and heating assistance, serving over 2,000 individuals in 2022.
• Adelante Family Resource Center: Offering support to families, with 75% of households living at or below the federal poverty level at intake.
• Positive Activities Lead to Success (PALS): Supporting children exposed to trauma through adventure, counseling, and family activities, serving 32 children in 2022.
• Valley Educational Gardens Initiative (VEGI): Providing nutrition and gardening education to approximately 1,000 youth, donating 486 pounds of produce to the community in 2022.
