Basic Information
Steelbridge, formerly known as Albuquerque Rescue Mission, has been a cornerstone in addressing homelessness in Albuquerque since its establishment in 1954.
The organization offers a comprehensive range of services aimed at transforming lives through the power of God's love. Their programs include:
- Residential Recovery Programs: These 12-month programs for men and women provide shelter, meals, counseling, spiritual guidance, and life skills training, focusing on overcoming addiction, trauma, and homelessness.
- Youth Services: Steelbridge offers support for youths aging out of foster care, providing housing, education, and life skills training to help them transition to independent living.
- Human Trafficking Assistance: Collaborating with national organizations, Steelbridge assists victims and survivors of human trafficking, ensuring safe placement and support services.
- Resource Center: Located at 2021 2nd Street NW, the center provides clothing, food, and other material goods to homeless individuals, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Thrift Store: The Steelbridge Thrift Store, situated at 2021 2nd Street NW, offers affordable clothing and household items, with proceeds supporting the organization's programs.
Through these initiatives, Steelbridge continues to play a pivotal role in breaking the cycle of homelessness in Albuquerque, providing individuals with the tools and support needed to rebuild their lives.
