Supportive Housing Coalition of New Mexico
Basic Information
The Supportive Housing Coalition of New Mexico (SHCNM) is a nonprofit organization committed to ending homelessness by providing affordable, permanent, and supportive housing to individuals and families across the state.
As the largest housing provider in New Mexico, SHCNM administers over 300 permanent supportive housing vouchers through various programs, including Housing First for individuals and families, Casita Bonita, Downtown @ 700-2nd CoC Program, Chuska Permanent Supportive Housing Program, and Linkages.
These programs offer tenant-based and property-based housing solutions, connecting participants with Housing & Services Coordinators who assist in transitioning from homelessness to stable housing by providing support tailored to each individual's goals. SHCNM partners with the New Mexico Coalition to End Homelessness and utilizes the Coordinated Entry System (CES) for referrals, ensuring that those experiencing homelessness and with disabling conditions receive the necessary support to achieve housing stability
